The society was formed in 1962 by interested persons and originally
named the Australian Daffodil Society.
Our general aims are:
To spread knowledge of and cultivation of daffodils
Assist in the promotion and development of exhibition, decorative,
cut flower and garden daffodils
For members to work in friendship and fellowship in the development
of daffodils
Provide and operate facilities for these purposes
The society holds regular meetings, workshops and flower shows
and produces three newsletters a year. We train and provide judges
for the program of Victorian Daffodils Shows

- Morning Session: Staging of Vases.
- Lunch: Bring a plate to share
- Afternoon Session: AGM then Committee meeting - All Welcome!

- Date: Sunday 9th September
- Venue: Ms Shirley Park's residence, 52 McMasters Lane, Lancefield.
- Time: 11am to 4.30pm
- Morning Session: Preparing and transporting blooms to shows. Judging miniatures.
- Lunch: Visit to Fred Silcock's nominated paddock where we will be given an insight into breeding and selecting of potential and significant advances in daffodils. Bolinda Show is on this day as well.

- Time: 11am to 4pm
- Morning Session: General hints on ground preparation. Growing in pots. Preparing bulbs for planting etc.
- Lunch: BYO. Tea and coffee making facilities available.
- Afternoon; Half price bulbs sales and offers of new varieties, just in time for the new seasons plantings. Followed by a Committee Meeting.
